The basics of Lean - interactive workshop

Maximum number of participants: 24
This workshop will consist on a fun simulation of a clinic by the participants.
In this session it will carry out a practical case based on the standardization and optimization of a value stream for a health care service.
Developed in three steps.
  • Create an "starting situation” that will be analyzed, and all the processes and activities of no added value will be identified.
  • We’ll go throught the understanding of the basic principles: VA/NVA/waste, flow, simplicity, standarization, pull, CI,...
Once established, after a first round of the simulation, the initial situation will follow the standard A3 process under coaching.
As a standard process, the use of the A3 allows others to understand you better and understand others better.
During workshop parallelism will be established within organizations, understanding the implementation of tools, while developing people in systematic and critical thinking, based on facts, through the resolution of problems.
  • Then teams will work on a proposal situation for a more efficient and satisfactory solution for workers as well as for the patients or final clients.
Use of the PDCA methodology, clarifies the link between real problems, causes and countermeasures, leading to effective measures.
Once the PDCA learning cycle has been completed, improvements and the management of its application in the simulated case will be proposed.
